What does the tzitzit symbolize?

Each tassel has eight threads (when doubled over) and five sets of knots, totaling 13. The sum of all numbers is 613, traditionally the number of commandments in the Torah. This reflects the concept that donning a garment with tzitzit reminds its wearer of all Torah commandments, as specified in Numbers 15:39.

"Speak to the children of Israel: Tell them to make tassels on the corners of their garments throughout their generations, and to put a blue thread in the tassels of the corners. - "And you shall have the tassel, that you may look upon it and remember all the commandments of YEHOVAH and do them, and that you [may] not follow the harlotry to which your own heart and your own eyes are inclined,
"and that you may remember and do all My commandments and be holy for your Elohim. So that is the commandment. That is what we are told to obey. And most people do not even realize that this commandment even exists in the Scripture. But it is there

Numbers 15:38 - Loquere filiis Israel: Loquere ad eos ut faciant fimbrias in angulis vestium suarum per generationes suas, et ponent filo cæruleo in fimbriis angulorum.

 

  1. — « Habebis fimbriam, ut videas, et memineris omnium mandatorum Domini et facias ea, et ne sequaris meretricem, ad quam proni sunt cor tuum et oculi tui;

 

  1. — « Et memineris et facias omnia mandata mea, et sis sanctus in Deo tuo.

Ita est mandatum. Hoc est quod ei obedire iubemur. Et plerique hoc mandatum ne in Scriptura quidem esse sciunt. Sed id est est.

 

 

 

Nunc aliqui putant hoc mandatum hoc abolitum vel abolitum vel abolitum; iam non debemus facere, quia nunc habemus Spiritum Sanctum ad admonendum nos mandatorum, non opus est chordarum statuto ad nos admonendos mandatorum. Sed rationem eorum paulisper videamus. Jesus dixit:

 

John 14:26 - "Adjutor autem Spiritus Sanctus, quem mittet Pater in nomine meo, ille vos docebit omnia, et suggeret vobis omnia, quae dixi vobis. Ita credunt, qui respiciunt; Hoc ut aboleatur, nunc Spiritus Sanctus est, quod Iehovah nobis dedit, ut ea quae nobis narrata sunt in memoriam revocemus: sed cavendum nobis est ut humana ratione eruamus vel tollamus mandata Iehovae. vere sollicitus sit.

Quia Spiritus Sanctus potest Verbum Iehovah afferre ad memoriam nostram, non significat nos non amplius habebimus monimenta quaelibet de verbo Iehovae et quod Spiritus Sanctus omnia substituat. Quia veritas est, nos omnes in Scripturis habemus commonitiones.
